As you requested, I emailed your support address on Oct 17th but haven't gotten any reply. Here's what was in the email:
I am the person who has been reporting the problems getting any picture when connecting my Ainol V8000HDG with the HDMI cable to an American TV. I have now tried the HDMI connection with three different TVs (Sony, Samsung, and Panasonic) and none of them display any picture when using the HDMI setting and cable.
As I mentioned in my earlier posting, it would cost too much for me to UPS my V8000HDG back to you for replacement (around $95). I suspect either the V8000HDG hardware or firmware does not support 60Hz signals (used in America) but does support 50Hz signals (used in China, Europe, etc.). Do you have any further other suggestions?
I understand that HDMI (digital) is separate from NTSC and PAL, but I also believe that the signal received via an HDMI port must be in the format supported by the TV set. On the Sony web site, they say that their America market TVs only support NTSC signals.
I THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED THEIR V8000HDG TO AN AMERICAN SONY (NTSC SYSTEM ONLY) TELEVISION SET VIA THE HDMI PORT???
What could have went wrong here? please help.
