C Peel is latest device that turn iPod Touch into iPhone. This peel not only make iPod Touch call and SNS, but it also make Touch online with GPRS function.
It is very stable and fully functionality at present, though not the the first one.
Apple C peel is actually a Communication Module, comes with SIM card slot and battery built in. Made from soft material, the antenna locate at iPod Touch earphone jack. Powered by an Infineon baseband chip, this adapter not only offers voice calling and text messaging (GPRS not possible yet), but it also doubles up as an 750mAh battery and provides 8.0 hours of call time or 200 hours of standby juice. Apple C Peel is suitable for iPod Touch 1, 2, 3 and 4th generation. It also comes with GPRS function for iPod Touch.

That's what appropriately named Apple Peel 520 claims to do.
Powered by an Infineon baseband chip, this Peel 520 not only offers voice calling and text messaging (presumably requiring a jailbroken for iPod touch for the apps; no GPRS), but it also doubles up as an 1200mAh battery and provides 4.5 hours of call time or 120 hours of standby time.
Requirements:
1. iPod touch with iOS version which has the JB solution.
Gentle reminder: Please keep your current OS version, DO NOT UPGRADE FROM ITUNE. Keep as old as possible of your iOS, let's say: 3.1.3 is the best and the most stable.

For IPT1 (iPod Touch gen. 1), the cable should be purchased, because the original cable of iPT1 can NOT charge the APPLE PEEL 520. Please prepare an original cable of iPT2 or iPT3, if you are using an iPT1.
2. Know how to install software and add sources in cydia.
For this price, we Do NOT provide the jb and installation service.
NOTE: Jail break for iPod touch is legallised from July 2010 onwards, please google it, if you want. JB for iPod 4 (not iOS 4) is still not available, so if you are holding an iPod 4, then wait until it is JBed, then come to buy.
Installation Guide:
This guide describes how to install the Yosion Apple Peel 520 Call and SMS apps
* Required: Jailbroken iPod touch + wifi connect.
* Pictures and download links to the latest Yosion Apple Peel 520 software will be updated soon!
Step 1: Add Sources in Cydia and install AppSync
* Open Cydia, on the bottom click Manage, select Sources. In the upper right corner click Edit, in the upper left corner Add. Enter http://cydia.hackulo.us/ and click Add Source. Click Done to finish.
* To install AppSync click the Hackulo.us Source and install the version of AppSync according to your iPod Touch firmware version.
Step 2: Install Mobile Substrate and Respring
* In Cydia, on the bottom click Manage. Click Settings and choose Developer (No Filters)
* In Cydia, on the bottom click Search, search for Mobile Substrate and install it.
* In Cydia, on the bottem click Search, search for Respring and install it.
Step 3: Copy the Yosion software to your iPod (Windows)
* Connect to your iPod using WinSCP and navigate to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall/. It is possible that the directories Cydia/AutoInstall/ are not yet created. If so, create them.
* Copy the .deb file in the AutoInstall directory.
Step 4: Reboot and Respring
* Reboot and run Respring to install the Yosion and YsSMS apps.
* After the installation of the required software, the Yosion and YsSMS icons will appear on the homescreen.
All the above mentioned software and application files are downloadable on the official website.
According the users in China, there are a few glitches when you use this item, still need time to fine tune the software, the software is keeping upgrading from 0.91 to 0.94 now.
It is just a new toy for your iPod touch, and still in the developing stage, if you are very critical to its performance, please do not buy this item.

1. Do not upgrade your iOS firmware in itune now, if you want this gadget works on your iPod Touch. Keep as it is.
2. Version 3.1.3 is most stable.
3. Start to learn how to Jailbreak and add source and install software in Cydia, if you want to install APPLE PELL 520 by yourself.
